2:38 pm	Julia's trip Sounds as though Jules had a great trip in Malaysia. Brought back lots of memories of when I lived there, especially the FOOD! My mouth waters to think of curry mee, nasi lemak, rendang and sate. Now she is off on a road trip for 3 weeks. Sure will miss her. Rod and I are visiting Cameron, Margi and Reeve for Thanksgiving. Cameron has just had lots of articles in the newspapers because of an art project he has just completed in LA. He has put cut out metal scenes from movies on the roofs of buildings around Hollywood, and as the sun moves, the light throws the shadow of the cutout on the other wall. Pretty cool!! Looking forward to seeing it. Saw a great version of "Faust" last week at the local West Bay Opera. Scenery, music and singing were superb. Current Mood: busy (1 Comment |Comment on this)

9:50 pm	Jules, Rod and I are going away next weekend. Jules is going to Cuba with her school group, we are visiting Rod's daughter in Virginia. Dragged Jules to do some shopping which she hates. Started off cheaply at Target and Mervins. No swimsuits so headed for Macy's. Bought one but got a shock when we found out it was $90. Taking it back tomorrow. It wasn't that great. In the car listened to the 4th Harry Potter book. They are great to hear on tape.Jim Dale, an English actor reads them so well. Cooked beef rendang for John, Elina, Julia and myself. Turned out very nicely, though spicy. Ate it with roti canai. Going to watch "Being John Malkovich" now.Have to iron while watching it. Current Mood: tired (Comment on this)

8:57 pm	On Monday, met Jules at the optician's to have her eyes tested. She chose some very cute midnight blue frames. We walked down the road to the beauty supply store and I told Jules she was a really fast walker. She told me that she had to be as she was always late for everything!! I laughed so hard I nearly fell over. On Wednesday had dinner with a friend I have met recently named Mary. We had a good discussion over food about our lives, children and more. (Comment on this)

10:11 pm	Came home to a quiet tidy house after feeling very good about going to exercise class. Cleaned up, folded the laundry and helped with dinner. Watched a very good detective story on PBS. Good acting, and very good photography. Julia helped me to start this live journal and wants me to write in my journal every day. We laughed over all the funny mood icons. I shall enjoy using them.
